Kissan GPT – A helpful AI tool for Indian farmers

Kissan GPT (https://kissangpt.com/) is an AI-powered chatbot based on ChatGPT and Whisper for “the underserved agriculture domain of India.” It was introduced by Pratik Desai on March 15 this year and provides real-time advice on crop cultivation, irrigation, pest control, and other farming-related topics.

Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tools are quickly becoming a regular. Since the launch of  ChatGPTthat delivers answers in a conversational way, the tech industry has seen the debut of a number of AI chatbots, such as GitaGPT, which is claimed to give users answers right from Bhagavad Gita. Another such chatbot is KissanGPT which is aimed at helping farmers maximise their yields.

It supports 10 Indian languages, including Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati, along with Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, and Indonesian. Farmers can interact with the chatbot via their smartphones in their own language and get detailed answers on their queries in seconds. It is also very handy and convenient to use.

Kissan GPT is not only designed for farmers but anyone with an interest in agriculture such as students, researchers, and even hobbyists.

Pratik Desai said to media, “mobile apps are also coming, and that two more languages will be added soon.” So definitely it will be very helpful to the Indian farming community in the future.
